RDC The Connection Has Been Lost

When attempting to transfer large files, the connection can be lost. RDC tries to use UDP, but we want to disable UDP. Since UDP is neither stable nor reliable, it causes RDC to lose the connection and attempt to reconnect.

You can write gpedit.msc in the Run dialog or gpedit in Search.

When Local Group Policy Editor opens go to Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components

Remote Desktop Services > Remote Desktop Connection Client > Turn Off UDP On Client

You can see Turn Off UDP On Client is Not configured. Select Enabled.

Click Apply and OK.
